Congratulations to Hakeem, whose new feature ‘Attack on Darfur ‘in which he co-stars with Billy Zane, Edward Furlong & Kristanna Loken scooped up Best International Film at the recent New York International Film Festival.

Awareness for the film has been rising steadily over the past year through its NGO, festival and other pre-release screenings, including several hosted by Boll in North America. It’s an approach most producers try to avoid for fear of losing momentum, and the need to quickly generate a return on investment.

Hakeem plays Captain Jack Tombake in this exciting and controversial film.

Darfur is being released in the US and Canada by Phase 4 Films on October 26. The film has sold in several territories in Europe, including Germany and the UK through Event Film. ZenHQ Films is currently planning distribution in Sub-Saharan Africa, including South Africa.
