Alice Amter is known by many for her wonderful portrayal of Mrs. Koothrapali in the award winning show ‘The Big Bang Theory’. Alice is often described as a ‘chameleon’ for the different roles and ethnicities she aptly plays. Originally from England, she has a wonderful ear for accents and has convincingly played many characters from across the globe. In ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Alice plays an Indian mother; in ‘Outsourced’ she took on the role of an Indian psychic, in ‘Strong Medicine’ a conservative Middle-Eastern mom, in ‘A Man Apart’ she portrayed a gun wielding Spanish beauty, in ‘The Good Girl’ a Southern speaking hick as well as appearing in many other productions using her natural British accent.
